Meet PAR Framework, Inc.

The PAR Framework is pleased to share the news that PAR has begun operations as the PAR Framework, Inc., an independent non-profit organization dedicated to improving student success, on January 1, 2015.   Launching PAR as a self-sufficient member funded organization marks the realization of a key goal for PAR: the culmination of 3 years of grant support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, operating support from the Western Interstate Commission of Higher Education and the full commitment of our member institutions.

PAR began as a “big idea” among a group of forward thinking colleges and universities in 2010. PAR has now developed, field-tested, validated and delivered a suite of academic insight tools to take the guesswork out of finding students at-risk and provide institutions with the evidence to make better decisions about investments in student success interventions.

PAR provides a collaborative alternative to commercial analytics products in these important early days of analytical products services and solutions market development. PAR members believe there is value in having a vendor-open, transparently developed suite of insight tools for finding students at risk and for empirically determining which interventions will best service which students at points of greatest need.

PAR has distinguished itself among the growing number of analytics service providers by its openly published common data definitions. Thanks to PAR’s common data definitions, PAR findings generalize beyond a single campus.

Common data definitions enable educators from disparate institutions to work together toward common goals of student success. PAR members represents for-profit and public institutions, 4-year and 2-year institution, traditional and progressive institutions, with programs offered online, blended and on the ground, by part-time and full time instructors for all courses offered by each institution.

PAR operates on an annual membership basis, and is open to all accredited post-secondary institutions in the US.

If you are an institutional leader who is interested in student success and is expected to do more with less, please give us a call or send us a note so we can get back to you with more information.
